Thank you for celebrating our tenth annual tree lighting with us. You helped make the night sparkle! 🩵 This season, Greektown SSA 16, Alderman Bill Conway of the Thirty Fourth Ward, the Greektown Chamber of Commerce, and the Chicago Greektown Educational Foundation brought the holiday magic to life! We also unveiled this year’s Karavakia display. More than thirty five artist painted miniature boats now brighten our storefront windows, and a larger Karavaki by James Mesple shines near the monume

Our favorite holiday tradition returns with the Tenth Annual Tree Lighting at Elysian Field on November 23! Gather with us to celebrate community, tradition, and the joy of the season as we light up the night together. Afterwards guests can enjoy warm Loukoumades (Greek donuts) and hot chocolate. Local students, invited by the Chicago Greektown Education Foundation, will sing kalanda, traditional Greek carols to make the evening even more festive!
